Recycling of PCR Plastics

 

Background: A major recycling company in Israel, the customer produces recycled LDPE, LLDPE, HDPE and PP.

 

Customer Requirement: Development of recycled-grade plastics suitable for film production and blow molding for major brand owners, such as Coca-Cola, etc.

 

Challenges:

• Smell elimination

• Inconsistency in recycled-grade plastics

• Requires visual appearance and some mechanical properties requirements.

 

Process:

• Blow molding trials were performed

• In some cases, 100% of PCR was used for recycled plastic bottle production
